May Volunteer Spotlight

Each month, our volunteer committee decides on volunteers to spotlight. For May 2024, the volunteer committee selected Nan and Ron Devine!  Nan and Ron have been Musikfest volunteers for 27 years! You can find Ron as our Alcohol Supervisor at the Wind Creek Steel Stage with Nan as one of our Steel Stage House Managers. You can also see them year round at our other various events we hold such as Oktoberfest, Christkindlmarkt, Peepsfest, the Levitt Pavilion, and many more. They are both a joy to spend time with them and keep a calm demeanor during our busiest events. We thank them for all their time and effort they have given to us and their fellow volunteers!

Nan Devine:

Q: What is something your fellow volunteers would be surprised to learn about you?   
A: I first started volunteering in 1992 for Musikfest in the office on Broad Street answering phones with my friend D

Q: What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not volunteering?
A: In my free time I watch my grandsons and like to travel and spend time with friends and family.

Q: Other than Musikfest, what is your favorite Lehigh Valley event?   
A: I would have to say Celtic Classic is my 2nd favorite event.

Ron Devine:

Q: What is something your fellow volunteers would be surprised to learn about you?   
A: I worked for Ingersoll Rand for 13 years and then I retired from Air Products after working 30 years.

Q: What do you like to do in your free time when you’re not volunteering?
A: In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, helping neighbors, and canoeing.

Q: Other than Musikfest, what is your favorite Lehigh Valley event?   
A: My second favorite festival is Celtic Classic.
