One Day Workshop

Monday, March 17 | 6-9 p.m.

Bring your favorite landscape photos from a vacation, wonderful memory or just a great pic you've shot. In this workshop students will engage in exercises and learn core skills that set them up for a great landscape painting experience, as they engage in recreating and indulging in their favorite aspects of their desired landscapes. At the end of this workshop students will leave with a finished acrylic painting that contains meaningful warm feelings, and a greater comfort with working in acrylic paint. All experience levels are welcome!

Alexandra Schnabel is a painter and art instructor who lives and works in Bucks County PA. Alexandra discovered her passion for painting at the Lehigh Valley Charter School for the Arts, and went on to earn her BFA from Pennsylvania Academy of The Fine Arts. She now enjoys creating artwork that explores the wonder of the visual world, while nurturing her passion for teaching through a variety of classes and workshops. In her studio, she explores diverse subject matter through a balance of skilled and intuitive approach, with themes that ponder the self and relationship with how we engage with the world around us. Her paintings have been shown at venues such as Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art, The Allentown Art Museum, The Kimmel Center, and Phillips Mill Community Association founded by Daniel Garber. She teaches a variety of community based classes locally as well as private lessons and creativity mentorship programs out of her home studio.

Location Information:
The Artist Garages at 520 Hamilton-Bay 1 is located at 520 Hamilton St in Allentown. While the address is for Hamilton St, the Artist Garages are accessed via Maple St. near the intersection with Bayard Rustin Way. (It is directly across the street from the Bradbury Sullivan LGBT Community Center.) Nearby parking includes the Community Deck parking garage (located at 13 S 6th St. in Allentown, PA) and metered on-street parking. Classes will occur in Bay 1. Click here to learn more.
