December Volunteer Spotlight

Each month the ArtsQuest Volunteer Committee votes on who should be in the “Volunteer Spotlight” for that month and I’m pleased to share with you that this December’s Nominee is Dory Horwath!  

Q: Tell us something about you that most people wouldn’t know!
A: I retired from a career in medical sales and was looking for a fun lucrative job for myself to keep busy, so I started a dog sitting business. It has been so fun. It has given me so much more than I expected. I don’t think many volunteers know this about me.

Q: If you could pick any musical act to play at Musikfest 2025, who would you pick and why?
A: I love the group Need to Breath. They would be great at the Café. They have a big local following as well.    

Q:Do you have a favorite memory from your time volunteering here at ArtsQuest?
A: There are so many great memories from my time volunteering. I learned a lot about myself. I learned that volunteering is helping me have the opportunity to connect with so many like-minded people. We love music, we love ArtsQuest and for me it has given me a chance to have fun again. I highly recommend volunteering.
