Michael Koehler Volunteer Department Introduction 

Hello everyone! 

My name is Michael Koehler, and I’ve recently joined the team as the new full-time Volunteer Program Coordinator! I cannot thank Cory and Parker enough for the opportunity and I’m truly excited to get things on the ground and running.  Some of you may know me from my time on the event staff, which I’d been a part of since July 2022.  Having that experience, I’ve been able to meet quite a few volunteers, but if I haven’t, I’m eager to introduce myself. I genuinely look forward to meeting every single one of you and being able to help in any way I can. Christkindlmarkt is my favorite event of the year here at ArtsQuest and I couldn’t think of a better event to jump right into! 

If you’re still reading, I’ll share a bit about myself. I’m an avid sports fan. If you’re a Philadelphia sports fan, I bet we’ll get along. I have a Dachshund named Willow. She’s been a part of the Dachshund races here at Oktoberfest before and even featured in a past Oktoberfest booklet. Another passion of mine is motorsports. I’m the guy who wakes up at 6am on a Sunday so I don’t miss a Formula 1 race live. My favorite trip I’ve ever taken was to Austin, Texas to watch the F1 Grand Prix weekend there live. Truly a bucket list item for me that I was happy to check off and I can’t wait to go back one of these years. Aside from that I enjoy spending my free time playing video games or out Disc Golfing with my friends. Anything else you may want to know, just ask. I’ll be happy to have a conversation with you!
