November Volunteer Spotlight

Each month the ArtsQuest Volunteer Committee votes on who should be in the “Volunteer Spotlight” for that month and I’m pleased to share with you that this November’s nominees are Shoshanna Hinder and Stephanie Turek!

Shoshanna Hinder

Q: What is your favorite event to volunteer for here at ArtsQuest?
A:  This is a toss-up. I love volunteering at both Musikfest and Christkindlmarkt because it allows me to catch up with former classmates and former coworkers. I also get to meet a whole lot of volunteers and festival goers!

Q: If you could pick any musical act to play at Musikfest 2025, who would you pick and why?
A: Il Divo, because they are a multinational crossover group whose music is sophisticated yet powerful.

Q: What are some of your favorite activities outside of volunteering at ArtsQuest?
A:I enjoy traveling the U.S. and Europe as well as attending New York Yankees and Lehigh Valley IronPigs games. I also like to walk early mornings on the local trails around the Lehigh Valley.

Stephanie Turek

Q: Tell us a little about your favorite hobbies or activities!
A: Now that I’m retired, I love to spend time with family & friends. I really enjoy volunteering. In addition to volunteering here at ArtsQuest (specifically Christkindlmarkt) I also volunteer at my Church. I enjoy doing crossword puzzles and reading as well in my spare time. Lastly, I love to cook and bake!

Q: What inspired you to start volunteering at ArtsQuest?
A:I just wanted to get involved and give back to the city. I’ve been here my whole life, born and raised right here in Bethlehem. I really believe in giving back.

Q: What is a piece of advice you’d give to any new volunteers or someone considering volunteering for ArtsQuest?
A: I would tell them to just get involved. It’s a great way to meet new people and give back to the community and city! Its all about giving back!
